Getting Ready for Christmas

Merry (almost) Christmas everyone! We're getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas in Utah with just our family and we're pretty excited. We got our first Christmas tree and we've decorated for the first time, so we're really starting to get in the Christmas spirit early this year. It's so nice to not have to be taking finals days before Christmas break! I feel like I can actually focus on the season and really put some thought into our holiday activities and gifts. Katie's having fun looking at our Christmas tree and helping me wrap presents. I can already tell that wrapping paper is going to be her highlight of her first Christmas! Happy Halloween

We were all pretty excited about Katie's first Halloween!

Happy Anniversary

Yesterday was our second anniversary. We went to Tucano's for dinner (so yummy!) and then spent the rest of the night at home with our family - mostly because Katie was ready for bed pretty early! We had so much fun, especially since last year we didn't celebrate our anniversary much because I was pregnant and feeling sick. It was really nice to spend the evening together and celebrate the best two years of our lives!

Flower Child

Katie sure does love flowers! It is so fun to watch her get so excited when she sees them and then stare intensely at them like she's expecting something to happen. She discovers new things every day, and she has discovered that she LOVES flowers. She's our little flower child!

Fall Colors

We went outside the other day looking for some fall colors...this is the best we could find! Gotta love the stunning Utah brown. We added a little hot pink (Katie's favorite color) to spice it up a little.

It's Getting Chilly

Yesterday, Sept. 12th, Katie ate rice cereal for the first time. By the look on her face it seems to have been a success!

Happy 22nd Birthday!

We had a wonderful birthday celebration for Megan on Friday, September 9th. We had friends over for dinner, cake & ice cream, presents, and a movie. The whole night was prepared by Dave, and it was SO FUN! Unfortunately Katie was in bed during the festivities.

The Jensen Family Reunion 2005 brought us this summer to Lake Tahoe. We had lots of fun boating, wakeboarding, hiking, and swimming in the gorgeous lake. Katie even loved wading in the freezing water! Looks like we might have a little swimmer in our family. Here she is lounging on the lakeside beach.
