Katie: Mom, did you know that Grandma Joy is Grandma Hopkin's mom?

Meg: {{nod + smile}}

Katie: And Grandma Hopkin is your mom. And you are my mom. And someday I am going to have a daughter and then I'll be a mom. And you'll be a grandma!

Meg: {{larger smile}} You're right!

Katie: And then you'll die. And then my daughter will have a baby, and she'll be a mom, and I'll be a Grandma! And then I'll die.

Meg: You're right, but you don't have to worry about dying for a long time.

Katie: {{with excitement in her voice + eyes}} And then my daughter's daughter will have a baby and then SHE'LL be a grandma! It just keeps going!


I'm telling you...that five-year-old is well beyond her years.
