Another Backyard Visitor

We had one more backyard visitor this summer. Well, lots of visitors:


This beehive was in the works all summer until it eventually grew to be the size of a small watermelon. It was built on a tree right outside our kitchen window, and we watched the busy bees working everyday. We didn't want to knock it down because it so very cool! But eventually, it needed to go.

Turns out killer bees are not the safest for children.
