Our last day in OR we went to Cannon Beach with Steve & Susie.
We saw the tide pools, road beach cruiser things, and played in the sand.  We love the beach and soak up any chance we get to go there. 

Unfortunately we didn't see any Jeep races on the beach or One-Eyed-Willy's ship sailing by Haystack Rock.

June 2012::Ward Campout

In June we went camping for the first time in 6 years!
We all had so much fun and feel very lucky to have so many great friends in our ward.  Which was good because we were all camped out pretty close to each other :)

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner at our house with my brother Brian, our cousins Meghan & Cassandra, and Cassandra's friend Scott. It was very nice to have family over to eat and celebrate with us.

Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. I love being with family, relaxing, eating yummy food, and being together. One of my favorite things to do is cook food for people I love, so I loved being able to host this year. Plus, it's always good to be able to practice cooking a turkey for a small group of easy-to-please college students. :)

This year, we are thankful for:
Dave:: the temple and that we can be together forever as a family.
Megan:: to be a mom to such awesome kids and wife to an amazing husband. also, thankful for Dave's job and how hard he works to provide for our family.
Katie:: her family, friends, and school.
McKenna:: that we have yummy food.
Brooke:: Mom and Dad and Katie and McKenna and baby brother in Mom's tummy.

Our Valentine's Birthday

We celebrated another birthday for Dave this week.

7 Years

7 years ago today, I married my best friend.
And boy was he quite a catch.
I look at this picture and remember how I felt that day - how excited and happy I was to marry Dave, and how relieved I was that the day I thought would never come, finally came.

What I didn't know that day is how much more I would love, admire, respect, and adore him 7 years later. Dave truly amazes me every day and I feel so lucky to be his. I feel even luckier that he is mine. Forever!

Checkers

A few weekends ago, Dave & the girls made a checkerboard. Dave cut out the pieces, measured and drew the squares on the board, and then Katie & McKenna painted each square and each piece. Katie & Dave then played game after game until Katie learned the rules and fell in love with checkers. It was so fun to watch them create this project and it has been even more fun to watch Katie show her friends her checkboard she made and teach them all how to play. What a fun memory they created that day!

January at the Jensen

There hasn't been a whole lot of excitment going on over here.
That pretty much sums up January at the Jensen.
But things are good and we are all healthy + happy - which is definitely a great thing and we are grateful.

I haven't posted much because there hasn't been a whole lot going on or any great photos taken in the past month. These were the best I could find.

Being couped up in the house, we're all starting to a feel a little like this:

With Brooke being so mobile now, she often finds herself "contained."

Just because.

Dave has been the busy one around here.
He has a few projects in the works.
Have I mentioned how lucky I am to be married to him?

He extended our counter (on the right) to make a desk area. Before, our computer moniter was sitting on our counter under the cupboard and it all felt a bit squished. We are all loving our new computer space. (And we all still love having the computer in the kitchen - it is wonderful.)

We are working on getting this room painted:

And Dave is almost done building these lockers for our laundry room (yay!)
